The relationship between the solubility of Calcium Fluoride CaF2 and pH
We have carried out a series of analysis on the relationship between the solubility and pH of Calcium Fluoride CaF2. Calcium Fluoride CaF2 is insoluble in water and does not corrode glass. However, calcium hydroxide has a certain corrosion on the glass, and it definitely affects the glass electrode, but the quick measurement should not have much effect, and it feels that it is meaningless to control the pH.
In the wastewater treatment measures of a previous project, the production wastewater produced by it was treated by the Calcium Fluoride CaF2 precipitation separation method. When the pH value is around, excessive calcium chloride and fluoride ions in the water are added to form Calcium Fluoride CaF2 precipitation. After coagulation and precipitation, the fluorine-containing wastewater is generally treated with lime milk, so that the fluoride ions are precipitated and eliminated by the formation of Calcium Fluoride CaF2. The chromium-containing wastewater is generally treated with ferrous sulfate solution to convert valent chromium into trivalent chromium, and then add alkali. To precipitate trivalent chromium and trivalent iron, Calcium Fluoride CaF2 has a very low solubility and is mainly insoluble in water. There are three kinds of gases that can make clear lime water cloudy: carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and hydrogen fluoride, summed up The solubility of Calcium Fluoride CaF2 is not related to pH.
