The Main Function of Sodium Metaphosphate NaPO3 in Phosphate Rock Flotation
Phosphate ore is an important raw material for phosphorus chemical production and plays an important role in the development of the national economy. Unfavorable factors such as the reduction of the grade of phosphate rock, the similarity of useful minerals and gangue minerals, and the fine particle size of mineral intercalation affect the development of phosphate rock beneficiation technology. By studying the interaction mechanism between reagents and minerals, it is helpful to improve the separation effect of minerals. The application and mechanism of Sodium Metaphosphate NaPO3 in the flotation of medium and low-grade phosphate rocks were studied emphatically.
The study found that Sodium Metaphosphate NaPO3 has two main functions in phosphate rock flotation:
One is that the addition of Sodium Metaphosphate NaPO3 will form a competitive adsorption with collectors on the surface of apatite minerals, inhibit the adsorption of collectors on the surface of apatite minerals, and thus change the hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity of minerals.
The second is that the addition of Sodium Metaphosphate NaPO3 will cause the change of mineral surface charge, which will change the interaction force between mineral particles, increase the dispersion of mineral particles, and optimize the mineral flotation conditions.
