Storage and Synthesis of Spherical YF3 Yttrium Fluoride

[Abstract]:
Spherical YF3 Yttrium Fluoride is the chemical formula of YF₃, gray powder or crystal at room temperature. Dissolve yttrium oxide in hydrochloric acid, and chemically dilute it to 100 ~ 150g/L (by Y2O3).

Spherical YF3 Yttrium Fluoride is the chemical formula of YF₃, gray powder or crystal at room temperature. Dissolve yttrium oxide in hydrochloric acid, and chemically dilute it to 100 ~ 150g/L (by Y2O3). Heat the solution to 70 ~ 80°C. The precipitate was washed, filtered, dried, pulverized and dehydrated in vacuo to yield Spherical YF3 Yttrium Fluoride. Solubility: Insoluble in water, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid.

Spherical YF3 Yttrium Fluoride

1. Storage method: airtight at room temperature, cool, ventilated and dry

2. Synthesis method:

Chemically dissolve yttrium oxide in hydrochloric acid and dilute to 100-150 g/L (calculated as Y2O3). The solution is heated to 70 ~ 80 ℃, yttrium nitrate and ammonia water are co-precipitated to obtain yttrium hydroxide. Wash the precipitate, dissolve and evaporate repeatedly in a platinum dish;

Dry synthesis: put several milligrams of Y2O3 into a platinum crucible, put it into a platinum vacuum device, vacuum, add a dry mixed gas of H2 and HF, heat up to 700°C, and store for 2 hours. After cooling, vacuum again to remove gaseous substances. Under a vacuum of 10-5 ~ 10-6 mmHg (1 mmHg = 133.322 Pa), a few milligrams of product were heated to 1400 °C in a platinum crucible, then cooled to 1000 °C at a rate of 2 °C/min, and finally dropped rapidly. To room temperature, YF3 single crystal can be obtained.

The solution was placed in a plastic tube resistant to hydrogen acid corrosion, heated in a boiling water bath, added with 1 to 2 ml of concentrated hydrogen acid, heated for 1 hour, centrifuged, dried at 100 to 150 °C, and the resulting material was heated in an electric furnace for 1 hour ( vacuum 10-5 ~ 10-6 mm Hg) until the temperature is 1000 ~ 1400 ℃.

The above is the introduction of the storage method and synthesis method of Spherical YF3 Yttrium Fluoride, I hope it will be helpful to everyone.
