Magnesium Oxide MgO is a kind of magnesia chemical material. According to the calcination production process, it is generally classified into two types: light-burning Magnesium Oxide MgO and heavy-burning Magnesium Oxide MgO. Magnesium industry currently uses light-burned Magnesium Oxide MgO, also known as active Magnesium Oxide MgO, which is odorless, tasteless, harmless, insoluble in pure water and solvent in agricultural production systems, and soluble in acid or ammonium salt solution. The air can gradually absorb CO2 and moisture to form magnesium carbonate double salt.

Active Magnesium Oxide MgO is divided into three types: high activity, medium activity and low activity according to the iodine absorption value. The active Magnesium Oxide MgO used in the magnesite industry refers to the high activity Magnesium Oxide MgO.

Reburned Magnesium Oxide MgO refers to high-purity Magnesium Oxide MgO, which generally refers to products with a purity of not less than 98% MgO. It is mainly used in smelting, refractory materials, alloy materials and other fields, and can also be used as insulating fillers for electric heating and electrical components.
