Physical properties: Manganese Fluoride MnF2 is a reddish powder. Density 3.98g/cm3. The melting point is 856°C. Soluble in acid. Insoluble in water, alcohol, ether. Red heat does not decompose. Combustible, the fire site emits spicy and irritating fumes containing manganese and fluoride. Dissolve manganese carbonate in hydrofluoric acid, evaporate and dry at 110°C. Or manganese dichloride and sodium fluoride eutectic, obtained by water leaching. Raw materials for kiln industry and non-ferrous metal welding.
Uses: Used as spectral pure reagent, raw material for kiln industry and non-ferrous metal welding.
