Fire-fighting measures

Hazardous characteristics: Lithium Fluoride LiF decomposes in case of acid, releasing corrosive hydrogen fluoride gas. In case of high heat, it will decompose and produce highly toxic fumes.

Hazardous combustion products: hydrogen fluoride, lithium oxide.

Fire extinguishing method: Firefighters must wear full-body fireproof and anti-virus clothing, and put out the fire in the upwind direction. When extinguishing the fire, move the container from the fire scene to an open place as much as possible. Then select the appropriate fire extinguishing agent to extinguish the fire according to the cause of the fire.

Spill emergency treatment

Isolate the leaked contaminated area and restrict access. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear dust masks and protective clothing. Do not come into direct contact with spilled material.

A small amount of leakage of Lithium Fluoride LiF: Avoid raising dust, sweep up carefully, and move to a safe place.

Large amount of Lithium Fluoride LiF leakage: collect and recycle or transport to waste disposal site for disposal.
