Handling and storage precautions for Beryllium Fluoride

[Abstract]:
Beryllium Fluoride is an inorganic compound with a chemical formula of BeF2, a glassy colorless crystal, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, more soluble in a mixture of ethanol and ether, insoluble in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, and mainly used for Manufacture of beryllium and beryllium alloys.

Beryllium Fluoride operation precautions: airtight operation, provide sufficient local exhaust. Prevent dust from being released into the workshop air. Operators must undergo special training and strictly abide by the operating procedures. It is recommended that the operator wear a dust mask (full face mask), a protective clothing with adhesive tape, and rubber gloves. Avoid generating dust. Avoid contact with acids. Equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment. Empty containers may be harmful residues.

Beryllium Fluoride Storage Precautions: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep out of direct sunlight. The package is sealed. It should be stored separately from acids and food chemicals, and should not be stored together. Storage areas should be equipped with suitable materials to contain spills.
