Handling and storage of Vanadium Pentoxide
Vanadium Pentoxide is a metal oxide with the chemical formula V2O5. It is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry and other industries, mainly for smelting ferrovanadium.
Precautions for operation of Vanadium Pentoxide: closed operation, local exhaust. Operators must undergo special training and strictly abide by operating procedures. It is recommended that the operator wear a dust mask (full face mask), a rubber protective clothing and rubber gloves. Keep away from flammable and combustible materials. Avoid generating dust. Avoid contact with acids. When handling, it should be lightly loaded and unloaded to prevent damage to packaging and containers. Equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment. Empty containers may be harmful residues.
Precautions for storage of Vanadium Pentoxide: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. It should be stored separately from flammable (combustible) substances, acids and edible chemicals, and should not be stored together. Storage areas should be provided with suitable materials to contain spills. The "five pairs" management system for extremely toxic substances should be strictly implemented.
