Aluminum Fluoride AlF3 is an inorganic substance with chemical formula AlF₃. It is prepared by the reaction of aluminum hydroxide or metal aluminum and hydrogen fluoride. It can also be prepared by the action of aluminum trichloride with hydrofluoric acid and ammonia water.

Dissolve pure aluminum hydroxide in excess 37% hydrofluoric acid for reaction. After the reaction is over, filter out insoluble matter, then evaporate the insoluble reaction solution at 100ºC (no more than 100ºC) until all crystals are formed, and wash with water for several times. time, filter and let it dry.

Aluminum Fluoride AlF3 should be stored in a closed, dark, ventilated and dry place at room temperature.
